Repticon Atlanta is a reptile event featuring vendors offering reptile pets, supplies, feeders, cages, and merchandise. Participate in free raffles held for enthusiasts, animal seminars, and kid’s activities.

Shred Day

Shred Day at Citizens Trust Bank locations on July 25 to help stop identity theft. People can bring papers to be shredded at the banks up to 3 boxes.

Greyhound Centennial Tour

Saturday, August 9, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Celebrating 100 years of service, Greyhound is bringing its Centennial Mobile Museum Tour to Atlanta! The tour will feature a bus converted into a mobile museum displaying memorabilia such as signage, vintage driver uniforms and an entire wall of history where guests will be able to see Greyhound’s transformation over the years, as well as view videos via interactive touchscreen displays. The tours will also feature restored classic coaches, such as the 1914 Hupmobile, 1931 Mack, 1947 Silversides and the 1954 Scenicruiser and a new, modern coach featuring amenities such as free Wi-Fi, leather seats, power outlets and extra legroom.

Abundant Life Church Streets Ministry Annual 5K 5+2 Fun Run/Walk. Labor Day, Sept 1, 2014. Preregistration ($20) ends Aug 20, 2014. Sign-in and pick up bib 7 AM. Race begins 8 AM. Arrive early and stretch with Dr. Lyndsay Holmon. All proceeds go toward the homeless and needy outreach.

JapanFest

Saturday, September 20, 10 a.m. - Sunday, September 21, 5 p.m.

Held again this year at the Gwinnett Convention Center in Duluth, this annual festival has continued to grow in size and popularity, reaching over 20,000 attendees. JapanFest is two days of immersing yourself in everything Japan: dance and music performances; learning the intricate maneuvers of Japanese martial arts; tasting various Japanese foods; visiting the many different cultural exhibitions and expositions of Japanese companies in Georgia. Tickets are $8 and free for children 6 and under.
